K-12 Online and Blended Learning
   As the popularity of online and blended learning escalates in primary and secondary education, the need for quality professional development for these learning environments also grows.

   For this special issue, submissions are invited that:
share research and ideas for professional development programs that prepare future and current teachers for these new learning environments.
Specifically, the editors are seeking submissions on professional development surrounding online/blended learning communities focusing on:development, implementation,  assessment, or other related topics.

Call for Chapters: Educational Technologies: Challenges, Applications and Learning Outcomes

Introduction
The book provides an opportunity to showcase how a variety of technologies can be applied in different domains and how educational technologies can impact learning outcomes. In addition to presenting the current state-of-the-art research and practices, it will also describe and discuss the challenges that researchers and practitioners are facing.

Audience
The potential audience of the book includes (a) researchers from education, psychology, computer science, neuroscience, and other interdisciplinary areas; (b) instructional designers, media specialists, developers, and other professionals; (c) administrators and policy makers; and (d) students from educational technology, educational psychology, learning sciences, computer sciences, cognitive psychology, and other interdisciplinary areas.

Important Dates

  • October 15, 2015: Proposal/Abstract Submission Deadline
  • November 30, 2015: Notification of Acceptance
  • January 31, 2016: Full Chapter Submission Deadline
  • March 15, 2016: Peer Review Results Returned
  • April 30, 2016: Final Chapter Submission Due to Editors

Submission Procedure

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before October 15, 2015, a chapter proposal/abstract of 500 words clearly describing the mission and outline of their proposed chapter. Authors will be notified by November 30, 2015 about the status of their proposals/abstracts and sent chapter guidelines. Full chapters should not exceed 10,000 words and are expected to be submitted by January 31, 2016 or earlier. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis.
